Illustrating Imagination: Fairy Tale Art in the Archives. (3rd floor)

With tales from all over the world, Illustrating Imagination showcases the beauty of books made for children. The varied techniques include woodblock prints, silhouette cut-outs, watercolors and ink on Japanese silk; and the stories vary from Oscar Wilde’s Star Child to the tale of an unhappy African princess, forced by her father to marry an ogre.

Hollins History in Objects: The Dairy, 1902-1968. (2nd floor)

Did you know that “The Hollins College Herd” weren’t a sports team? This herd of 40 Holstein-Friesian cows provided Hollins students with fresh milk, cream, and butter, for more than 60 years! Come learn from the meet Hollins Hamlet, Helkatt, Havoc (really) and the others.
