I’d like to submit my thesis to the Digital Commons and/or the archives.

Undergraduate honors students and all graduate students (except Creative Writing MFAs) submit their theses to the digital commons. See directions for thesis writers.

I’d like to donate materials to the archives and special collections. How does this work?

Thank you for your interest in donating to the Hollins University Archives. Before accepting a donation, we carefully consider a variety of factors, including collection scope, condition of the materials, available space, and existing collection strengths and priorities. Please review our Collection Parameters before contacting the Archivist regarding a donation.

Are you part of a student organization and interested in donating materials?

The archives welcomes donations from:
  • Student Government
  • Clubs
  • Honors Societies
  • Secret Societies
  • Specialty Halls

Use this form to submit your request.

Planning your visit to Hollins’ archives and special collections

To ensure the materials you need are available and the archivist is prepared to answer your questions, please contact Isabel Folck at folckil@hollins.edu OR (540) 362-6237, before visiting.

I’m researching Margaret Wise Brown.            What is in her papers?

Use ArchivesSpace to view our Margaret Wise Brown finding aid or search for other Hollins collections. A finding aid is a road map for a unique primary source collection. It tells what the collection is about, how its organized, and more or less where things are. Finding aids, for instance, enable researchers to locate specific boxes or folders relevant to their research.
